Daniel Watcke, a junior at Hinsdale Central High in Illinois, placed third in the men's 800-meter final in 1:51.20 at the USATF U20 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Watcke anchored Hinsdale Central, competing as The Dale Track Club, to a 4x800-meter victory June 18 at Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field.
